This piece of work is a collaboration of sorts with Frank Bowling's friend and fellow artist Arlington Weithers. Weithers gave Bowling one of his artworks and Bowling used it to bisect one of his own paintings by stitching it in the middle. This form of collaboration is typical to Bowling who often will have visiting friends add tiny details to his painting or will make them choose a color to pour.
