Remember Thine Eyes

Frank Bowling created his paintings as “controlled accidents” and would let paint drip down the canvas or let paint cans rest on the canvas creating unpredictable shapes and scenes. “Remember Thine Eyes” is colorful and might depict a waterfall with two staring eyes. It was not Bowling’s intention for the painting to look exactly like it does, but from the results of his “controlled accident” he could surmise the title of “Remember Thine Eyes.”
